Our camps are a week long morning and/or afternoon bicycling camp to encompass all forms and skill level of cycling. Taught by local professionals for students from 8-17 years old. Riders 7 and under are permitted in morning sessions only and riders over 12 are encouraged to enroll in the afternoon sessions. The camp includes 2 hours of instruction per day and 1 hour of practice overseen by the instructor. Campers may stay after for the remainder of the day (Late Pickup) to ride and practice on their own for an additional fee (Unless they are 7 and under).
Campers will learn general bike skill, bike safety, bike maintenance, park etiquette and cycling/stunt vocabulary. Campers will better their basic riding skills of pump, balance, speed control, jump, ride over, and stopping. Once campers have mastered the basics, our instructors will move them onto riding new courses and ramps, learning intermediate or expert handling skills, learning new tricks and working on their freestyle foundations.
Returners Camp will continue where our camp leaves off. We will start with a refresher of the basics and continue on through intermediate skills until they are mastered. From there, we will move onto expert skills.
Advanced Camp is for the kind of rider that loves to ride and never stops! It’s an intermediate to expert level camp where riders will have the freedom to grow on skills that they choose. Instructors will ride with campers and help them learn and complete their goals.
We will be offering 7 weeks of Summer Bike Camp. Each week has a morning (9am-12pm) and an afternoon (1pm-4pm) session. Our 5 day camp is $229.99 + Tax with the Late Pickup option for $279.99 + Tax. If you are new to The Wheel Mill, a completed waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian before the beginning of summer camp. If a parent or guardian is not present the waiver must be notarized. OTHER ADULTS CANNOT SIGN FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S CHILD. Click this LINK for a downloadable waiver.

Bring whatever makes you comfortable but here is a list of some must haves:

If you don’t own a bike, helmet, and/or pads we offer a limited amount of rentals for campers. For the week, bikes are $60 + Tax, helmets are $25 + Tax, and pads are $25 + Tax. To guarantee rentals, please email Mike@thewheelmill.com to reserve rental equipment.
We offer a wide variety of snacks and drinks. If your camper does not pack food, we recommend you putting money on their account to buy from our shop.
Your child must be able to ride a bike on their own in order to attend class. They will learn more in-depth skills at the camp according to their experience level. If you would like a learn to ride lessons for your child, we offer private lessons. Contact Mike@thewheelmill.com to book.

Returns for The Wheel Mill Summer Camp are only valid two weeks before camp begins. Credit will be issued in the form of The Wheel Mill Park Credit. There will be no refund there after. If something comes up and you’re not able to make camp, email Mike@thewheelmill.com.
For a camp to run, there must be 5 riders registered. We will contact you 1 week in advanced if a camp has to be cancelled. You will receive a full refund or a credit for another week that is running.
